ATCAA Central Sierra Connect needs your help with mapping broadband in our region! Please follow this link to our "crowdsourcing" module. On this site, you can put in your address, take a speed test to see how fast your service is, and after pinning your home on the map, click on a drop down menu that will let you tell us who your provider is, how much your service costs, and any comments you have about your service. Your personal information will be kept CONFIDENTIAL, and after 2-12-10, you'll be able to see an updated "map" of regional broadband and check out the results for our area! Again, here is the link to the module. Please pass this link on to all of your contacts and friends so we can make this the most complete and accurate map in California! NOTE: it is especially important if you DO NOT have high speed internet to let us know. If you have broadband at an alternate location but not at your home, please make sure to note that on the drop down. To make the drop down appear, click on the spot on the map where your home or business is after putting in your address. The menu will appear after you "pin" the map ;) ADDITIONAL NOTE: if you are getting an error using Internet Explorer, try reloading the page. Don't use the speed test widget this time, just type in your address, click on the map in the exact spot where you live, then click on the red pin that appears to get the data form to open for you to fill out; hit save and closed when you are finished. |
